Study Days
The Student Health Association recognise that healthcare workers need opportunities to learn and update their skills and knowledge to enhance their personal and professional development. This will enrich careers and support in providing better care to student patients. Each year the Student Health Association commit to deliver a number of study days covering a wide range of topics pertinent to student health. These are a mixture of face to face and online events.

14th March 2025 - Contraception and Ethnicity
This session is a 4-hour face to face learning event looking at contraception and ethnicity. Research has shown us that women from ethnic minorities use contraception less than white women and barriers in the uptake of contraception is perceived poor information from health professionals and cultural and language barriers. This session will look at language and terminology, clinician counselling, bias, and stigma, and will give a history of contraception and a more general contraception update....
